November in your Sub-Tropical garden

November is the beginning of the hottest period of the year. Apply SaturAid to garden beds to prepare them for summer heat. SaturAid helps ensure that the water you apply gets to where the plants need it most - the root zone.

Cuttings of natives, azaleas and other spring flowering plants may be taken this month. For best results use Debco Propagation Mix.

Apply gypsum and compost to clay soils to improve drainage prior to applying mulches.

It's not too late to add Christmas colour to patios and entertaining areas with annuals in pots and containers. For best results use a specialist mix such as Pot Power. It's a great choice for those garden hot spots because it contains SaturAid (wetting agent) and water storing crystals. Start with advanced seedlings and liquid feed every two weeks with Phostrogen Plant Food.

Feed the vegetable garden with a complete soluble fertilizer such as Phostrogen Plant Food.

Feed spring flowering plants that have finished blooming with Galloping Garden Organic complete fertilizer.

Re-pot indoor plants this month with Debco Pot Power mix, to give them a new lease of life. Give indoor plants a boost with Phostrogen Plant Food.

It's time to plant out fruiting trees such as avocado, mango and custard apple. Prepare garden beds first with compost.
