This is a great time to re-pot indoor plants. Some may need to be transferred into larger pots; others may simply benefit from removing dead roots and old mix and potting into new mix. Debco Terracotta & Tub Mixture is perfect for this purpose. If repotting is not needed, apply Debco PotMate to reinvigorate the mix.
Some of your summer garden seedlings may be finished now, so plant cinerarias and primulas for winter colour. Fertilise with Phostrogen soluble fertiliser and, even though some of the summer's heat is gone, mulch them with Debco Soil Conditioner.
Early crops of broad beans can be sown now. Ensure that you always rotate your crops, to ensure that there is no build-up of winter diseases to which they are susceptible. Don't plant broad beans in ground where they have been grown within the last three years.
